What's the opposite of Chinglish

After months of making no effort at all I've re-started my quest to learn Cantonese. My lesson to the world can now start again!

My newest phrase is "gong sam gong see", the literal translation is talk 3 talk 4 but actually means to gossip, not sure why that came up with regards to me but there you go.

Other invaluable gems I've picked up are;

"Ng Duck" which means "no way!", (not sure how I discovered that either but ......)

De ma Lai - how are you

O ho ho - I'm great

Lap sap - rubbish (think that's how my pronunciation was described unfortunately)

haila haila - I agree (coming right after Lap sap but rest of group if memory serves, d'oh!)

And that's it, ok not the most impressive series of linguistic tip-bits but what were you expecting!

never simple

Some people say to fail to plan is to plan to fail - I prefer the notion that by planning you limit spontaneity.

Unfortunately the non systematic approach does occasionally throw up a complication but who really craves a simple life!
